BOARD OF ALDERMEN
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Foristell
meet in regular session in City Hall at 7:00 p.m. on the first (1st)
and third (3rd) Monday of each month. When a holiday occurs on any
such Monday, the regular meeting shall be held on Tuesday at the
same time. If the Board conducts a Public Hearing to consider a
change in Land Use or an amendment to the Code, the Public Hearing
is held at 6:45 p.m. prior to regularly scheduled Board of Aldermen
Meeting.
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
The number of members of the Foristell Planning & Zoning Commission shall consist of seven (7) members and two (2) alternates appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Board of Aldermen. The Commission typically meets the third Thursday of each month dependent on applications and publication demands. Meetings are held at City Hall at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise posted. The Commission recommends to the Board of Aldermen for adoption, based on comprehensive surveys and studies of existing conditions and probable future growth, a plan for the City’s physical development. The Commission recommends to the Board of Aldermen rules controlling land subdivision and/or use.
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
The Board of Adjustment consists of five members
appointed by the Board of Aldermen. The Board hears and decides
appeals made by any person or person severally or jointly aggrieved
by any order requirement, decision or determination made by the
Zoning Enforcement Officer or other official in the enforcement
of these regulations. Board of Adjustment Meetings are scheduled
on an as needed basis.
OPEN MEETINGS
All meetings of the Board of Aldermen, Planning
and Zoning Commission, Board of Adjustment and all other boards,
commissions, committees and agencies of the City of Foristell and
any committee or subcommittee thereof, shall be deemed to be a public
meeting, open to the public, except as otherwise provided by law.
CITY OBSERVED HOLIDAYS
City Offices will be closed for the following Holidays:
New Years Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial
Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving
Day/and the day after, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
